Success Measures

HBCU Early College Prep High School can effectively gauge its success in preparing students for higher education and ensuring their seamless transition into college life by the following:

Graduation and Degree Attainment: Achieve an 80% graduation rate for students earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree.

Measurement:

Track the percentage of graduates who successfully complete their AA degree by the time of high school graduation.

College Credit Acquisition: Ensure that 100% of students earn college credits during their time at HBCU Early College Prep.

Measurement:

Monitor the number of college credits earned by each student, aiming for full participation in college-level courses.

Enrollment in HBCUs: Project that 80% of graduates will enroll in HBCUs; preferably DSU.

Measurement:

Track enrollment data of graduates within the first year after graduation, focusing on those who enroll in HBCUs.

Scholarship Opportunities: Encourage all eligible students to apply for available DSU scholarships, including the Presidential Scholarship, Full and Partial Scholarships, DSU Gap Scholarships, and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarships.

Measurement:

Count the number of scholarship applications submitted by students and track the percentage of students who receive funding.

Guaranteed Admissions: Ensure that all HBCU ECP graduates are guaranteed admissions to DSU.

Measurement:

Establish an articulation agreement with DSU and track the acceptance rates of graduates.

Student Support and Guidance: Provide comprehensive support services to assist students in their college preparation.

Measurement:

Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling services and college readiness programs through student feedback and post-graduation success.
